My name is Brandon, and I love to read! More generally, I love consuming all sorts of content including movies, shows, podcasts, games... When I enjoy a piece of content, I really want to share it with others so they can enjoy it too. I'm pretty opinionated, so if I don't like something, I usually want to make that known too.
Beyond pure enjoyment, I have a great desire to learn. Naturally, there is more content now than ever before, so sifting through every book, blog, podcast, journal, etc... that exists is simply impossible for one person to do alone. That being said, I want to help others choose content by providing reviews of what I have consumed, myself.
My mom has been a librarian for as long as I can remember. So when I was little, I got to help out putting away books and doing other circulation tasks. This helped me learn the library like the back of my hand which gave me the ability to help others find whatever it was they were looking for. That is my basic goal with my website: to help people find what they're looking for, or make recommendations to them. My aim is primarily to help other people discover books and other resources to help them learn more about God, the Bible, and various related topics. Secondarily, I want to share my own views, opinions, feelings, and original content with others. Additionally, I want to share my enjoyment of content of all kinds separate from that which is educational and theological. One day a post may cover my new favorite book defending the bodily resurrection of Christ or the inerrancy of scripture. The next day I may write about my favorite Sith Lord in the Star Wars universe. I will do my best to keep these completely unrelated posts well organized so that people can easily access that which interests them.
I'm not a perfect person (there's only been one of those), so I may be wrong, or hold a different view than you sometimes. If that is the case, I hope that we can participate in appropriate discourse for the mutual benefit of everyone!
The truth is, I have my biases the same as everyone. No matter how much I try to suppress them for objectivity's sake, they will come out on occasion. If you want to know those biases, you'll need to know a little bit about me personally. As I've already said, and you probably gathered based on the name of the site, my name is Brandon. I live in Louisville with my wife, Taylor, and my daughter, Leah. I am a proud graduate of Union University (Bachelor of Music Education, class of 2013) and a current student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary pursuing a Masters of Divinity in Apologetics.
